Nov 15, 2023The global health center the PAN ASEAN Coalition for Epidemic and Outbreak Preparedness (www.paceup.org) is seeking for a Project Manager for an unlimited period in full-time in Hanoi, Vietnam with an early start date.


PACE-UP is a Center for Global Health and pandemic prevention in Asia led by a multidisciplinary consortium of North-South and South-South collaborations. Our consortium leverages on equitable Asia-Europe-Africa partnerships to build and strengthen regional and ASEAN-wide capacity and systems to respond rapidly and effectively to emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases in the region. PACE-UP is located at the Vietnamese-German Center for Medical Research (VG-CARE; www.vgcare.org) in Hanoi and receives funding from German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) through the Federal foreign office Germany (AA).

Feb 20, 2023:  The Institute for Tropical Medicine at the University Hospital Tübingen is offering a Senior Postdoctoral position   in the field of infectious diseases epidemiology at the Institute of Tropical Medicine, Tübingen, in fulltime, for as soon as possible.  The position is initially limited to 3 years until December 2025 with the possibility of a further extension.

We are searching for a motivated candidate with 2-3 years of experience in the field of molecular biology, epidemiology, infectious diseases research to drive basic and clinical research projects in the research group of Prof. Dr. Velavan. A particular focus of the research group is the genetic characterization of pathogens and human genetic factors that critically influence disease phenotype.

Sep 27, 2022:  The Institute of Tropical Medicine at the University Hospital Tübingen, Germany and the Vietnamese German Centre for Medical Research (VG-CARE), Hanoi are offering a position in Germany for projects in Vietnam. The selected candidate will be based in Tübingen, Germany and should be able to undertake short research visits to VG-CARE in Hanoi, Vietnam, when required. The candidate will be responsible for supervising PhD and Master students in Germany and in Vietnam. We are seeking a Senior Postdoctoral position/ Senior Scientist/Research Associate in the field of Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious diseases (f/m/d). The position is to be filled from 01 January 2023. The position is initially limited to 3 years until December 2025, with the possibility of further extension, with a German salary and contract. 

 
We are looking for a motivated candidate with 2-3 years of experience in the field of molecular genetics, molecular epidemiology and statistics to join Prof. VELAVAN's research group. Previous experience working with Next Generation Sequencing tools such as Oxford Nanopore technologies and/or Miseq platforms is an advantage.

Sep 5, 2022:  VG-CARE offers a 5-month scholarship to conduct a Master's thesis at the Vietnamese-German Centre for Medical Research. Students from the region who are currently enrolled in a master's degree programme in biology or a comparable discipline at an institute/university in Vietnam are eligible to apply. The Master's thesis will be co-supervised by VG-CARE scientists and should lead to a Master's degree at your university. The thesis must be completed by 2023. Deadline: 30 Sep 2022.
